This Sunday, July 12, we are honoured to welcome special guests from Ukraine at the 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy. They have come to Canada for a brief visit and will be returning directly to Ukraine.
Following the Divine Liturgy, you are warmly invited to a charity sale featuring beautiful handmade Ukrainian necklaces, scarves, and traditional beadwork. All proceeds (100%) will be sent directly to Ukraine to support the purchase of drones that provide our defenders on the front lines with essential supplies, including water, food, and ammunition.
To ensure complete transparency, a photo report will be shared after the donation has been delivered.
We warmly invite you to join us in prayer, fellowship, and this meaningful act of solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Your generosity and support are a true witness of Christian love and compassion.

12 липня 2026 року представники Фундації пам’яті Юрія Мельника мали честь взяти участь в недільній літургії парафії церкви Святого Юрія— St. George Church у місті Прінс-Джордж, провінція Британська Колумбія, Канада.
Завдяки благодійному ярмарку українських товарів вдалося зібрати 1715 канадських доларів. Цієї суми вистачить на придбання комплектуючих для виготовлення семи десятидюймових FPV-дронів. Усі 100% прибутку від продажу будуть спрямовані на закупівлю необхідних запчастин. Роман Мельник безоплатно збере, запрограмує і протестує дрони, після чого їх передадуть українським військовим на фронт. Такі безпілотники є надзвичайно важливими для наших захисників. Окрім виконання бойових завдань, вони можуть доставляти воїнам на передові позиції провізію та амуніцію — зокрема туди, куди добиратися автомобілем уже надто небезпечно.
Фундація щиро дякує Мирославу Мельнику за сприяння в організації ярмарку і збору коштів, Володимиру Мельнику за щедру пожертву на ще додаткові три FPV-дрони. Велика вдячність Кейсі та всій родині Старжик (Starzyk), пану Роману, пані Марії, а також усім парафіянам, які підтримали ініціативу та придбали привезені з України товари. Ваша небайдужість перетвориться на реальну допомогу українським воїнам.

On July 12, 2026, representatives of the Yuriy Melnyk Memorial Foundation had the honour of attending the Sunday Divine Liturgy at St. George Church in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.
Thanks to a charity fair featuring Ukrainian goods, CAD 1,715 was raised. This amount will cover the components required to build seven 10-inch FPV drones. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will be used to purchase the necessary parts. Roman Melnyk will volunteer his time to assemble, program, and test the drones before they are delivered to Ukrainian troops on the front line.
These drones are critically important to our defenders. In addition to carrying out combat missions, they can deliver food supplies and ammunition directly to frontline positions — including locations that have become too dangerous to reach by vehicle.
The Foundation sincerely thanks Mike Melnyk for helping organize the fair and fundraising effort, and Volodymyr (Valter) Melnyk for his generous donation covering three additional FPV drones. We are also deeply grateful to Kathy and the entire Starzyk family, Mr. Roman, Mrs. Maria, and all the parishioners who supported the initiative and purchased goods brought from Ukraine. Your compassion will translate into tangible assistance for Ukrainian defenders.
We extend our special gratitude to Father Andriy and Dobrodiyka Halyna Chornenka, who helped organize the charity event, supported our initiative, and continue to stand steadfastly with Ukraine.
A photo report documenting the assembly and delivery of the drones will be published within two months. We thank the Ukrainian community in Canada for its trust, compassion, and concrete actions in support of Ukraine!
